Terrorist attack – Barcelona

Following the recent terrorist attacks in Barcelona, MPI has been receiving questions about insurance cover:

‘Can I cancel my trip?’

‘What if I’m injured in another terrorist attack?’

The trigger for a claim for cancellation is if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised against all travel to an area or country. We therefore suggest you monitor the FCO website and follow its advice.

If you are injured in a terrorist attack, there is cover under an MPI policy, subject to our Ts and Cs.

At MPI we also suggest that travellers should remain alert and vigilant, especially in places where there is a high concentration of people.
