MPI Brokers has voiced strong support for a new funding initiative to help future British snowsports Olympians – especially ahead of the 2018 winter games in PyeongChang. Speaking after the launch of the British Snowsports Fund and the British Ski and Snowboard National Foundation, Michael Pettifer said: “This is a significant step for snowsports. We will give it all the help we can.” By becoming part of the fund-raising initiative, MPI will be joining an initial group of top commercial names in the snowsports arena, including holiday companies and equipment suppliers who are already confirmed partners in the project. The BSF asks recreational skiers and snowboarders for a small donation when they buy from a confirmed industry partner. Recent comments on an online skiing forum suggest some skiers are unsure about how much time they can spend on the slopes without breaching the conditions of their insurance policies – and possibly losing out if they have to make a claim. Policy conditions vary, so it's important to understand the cover before you buy a policy – and certainly before you travel. MPI's Annual Multi Trip policies place no limit on the number of days you actually ski. However, we do limit the duration of a ski trip to 17 days – and that’s counted from departure to arrival back in the UK. The 17-day limit is is a widely accepted standard for a typical two-week stay in-resort, plus outward and return travel. MPI's AMT policies also allow non-ski trips of up to 30 days, UK-UK. These periods can be extended.

Excellent service, first time I have ever had to apply for a claim, so I have nothing to compare this service with, however I have heard horror stories about insurance claims. My first experience was quick, hassle free, no complications what so ever very impressed with service.

These are the bare facts and relate to Edward and our interface with him. This was important to us and was only made possible by the superb service provided by the insurance company...
They dealt directly with the ski recovery team, the hospital and made all the arrangements for Ed's return.
Not only did they perform the functional side without fault but they provided constant support to Celia. Her mind was constantly at ease and allowed her the freedom to worry about Edward's recovery.
I would like to offer an unreserved note of gratitude to Jill, Bob and Renee who over the Christmas break gave up their time to help us. They provided rays of hope in what was a dark mire of unknown. potential confusion and uncertainty were replaced by confidence and care. Although there must have been other issues we always felt that Edward was No 1 and there was a team dedicated to Edward and his well being.

After much searching amongst other options, I eventually spoke to Catherine at MPI for my elderly lady ski insurance!!! She was excellent - so I have gone with MPI. Thanks for your help with the information.

He is home now and although his legs look very messed up he is in good heart. His wounds are infected and his ankle does not look brilliant so I know we did the right thing having him repatriated. It was a very stressful time for all of us but your cheery voice at the end of the line always helped. I am particularly grateful that you asked your representative doctor in Peru to translate the Spanish doctor's letter into English. I know you had to pull him out of the shower to do this (!) but if you hadn't I think Sam would still be there! You organised a driver to bring him back from the airport in an extra long car so that he could extend his legs and that was really helpful too. You were brilliant in every way - so thank you from all of us.

The reason I chose MPI brokers for the travel insurance policy to cover my recent extended trip to France was twofold. Firstly, the policy cover was exactly right for winter sports and secondly because I might extend the trip this could be actioned whilst I was still abroad.
