The morning started with the timings for the two Slalom races moved back one hour with the lift scheduled to open at 9am rather than 8am.
As the day went on, they saw increasingly heavy winds and snow and sadly the second run of the Slalom races was cancelled. Whilst it is a shame they couldn’t go ahead, of course safety is the main priority.
The high winds restricted the number of lifts open and at the end of the day only one was working. Skiing was very limited, the slopes were very crowded, and the overall visibility was poor.
The pistes have a great dusting of powder which is getting deeper and there is ankle-deep powder Off-Piste, so there is definitely the opportunity for some good skiing in the next few days.
