MPI's initial five-year involvement with AICC kicks off in March 2015, with the 8th championship, hosted by Sci Accademico Italiano, in the picturesque town of Madonna di Campiglio.

Originally designed to rebuild links between the Arlberg clubs, AICC has been broadened to include clubs that were not previously involved.

AICC says: "Senior racing for amateur skiers is now restricted to relatively few events, but we believe there is a healthy level of interest in further developing senior amateur team racing."

MPI Brokers Managing Director Michael Pettifer has expressed delight at the opportunity to sponsor AICC.

He says: "This is an increasingly important event on the skiing calendar, and it brings together a number of clubs that have been the driving force of UK skiing. We are delighted to be part of this initiative for the coming few years, at least."

AICC's plans for future championships include Ski-Club Arlberg, Lech (2016) and Alpback Visitors Ski Club, Alpbach, Tirol (2017).
